Best of 2009

While working with some of my clients for 2010 Bridal season, I have noticed a few trends. Pink, in all shades from pastel, to magenta, and coral have been a common thread in many of the invitations I've been working on.  The second color trend I've noticed this season is blue. And while I am not quite ready to share with you what I am currently working on, I would love to share with you one of my favorite "blue" weddings from this past year, Christina and Patrick. 

Christina and Patrick's wedding took place in September at the Dolce, Basking Ridge. The couple wanted to incorporate elements that reflected their personalities, clean, modern, and elegant. I created a custom invitation set, save the date cards, and a creative reception booklet placed at each setting. While, this set was simple, it definitely had an impact and is one of my personal favorites from 2009.

For anyone who is not sure what color scheme to chose for their upcoming wedding or event, blue is a great choice, whether you chose cobalt, teal, navy, baby, or sapphire blue works for almost every season! Pair it with black like Christina and Patrick, for a modern twist.

Spa Blue paired with Chocolate Brown

Cobalt Blue paired with Yellow and Lime

Snow Day!

It's a snowy day here in NJ. Blizzard conditions are supposed to hit us this afternoon. I am spending the day working on some awesome "Cherry Blossom" wedding invitations, a wedding collage from one of my favorite couples from 2009, and a new invitation book! 

The book is to prepare for my first bridal show in quite some time and will feature many new designs and invitation styles I created in the last few months.  I will be attending a bridal show at the Brielle River House as their preferred invitation vendor! I hope all you new NJ Brides AND Grooms out there come by next Friday, February 19th at 7pm and check out this amazing venue, great food, prizes, and MANY awesome wedding vendors!

Welcome!

Welcome to my all new blog site! I am excited to start my new blog and share with all of you my passion for invitation design. Please keep checking back for updated photos of my work, event tips and ideas, inspiration and much more.  I have been working with many new brides to create one of a kind invitations for the 2010 Bridal Season and I am so excited to share my new designs with you all. In the meantime, I will be updating my blog with my version of  "The Best of 2009".

I'd like to start this all new blog with exciting news! My work, as well as my sister's June wedding, was featured in the Spring 2010 issue of NJ Bride! We are both so excited for this and it is a truly wonderful way to remember that spectacular day. Definitely check it out the issue on news stands now!
